Oxford CH3244

image
I know I said before that we won’t try Lego alternatives… BUT!!! I recently discovered one that is super cool. Oxford is a South Korean brand and it’s the closest to Lego.
Inside the box, bricks, sticker, booklet.

Here’s the final product… Super cute. There are times when it’s hard to put the bricks in place but everything fits. I love the design of the door. The drawback is if you want to make the other car, you have to disassemble everything. Some of the bricks are difficult to separate.image

Overall, I’m happy with the set, the only problem is it’s hard to find this product outside South Korea. Price is cheaper than Lego but quality is almost the same.
Now, the behind the scenes…

Now… A preview of our next Oxford set…

Lego Junior 10666

It’s Edward’s first junior set and honestly, I can’t differentiate the parts with Lego City pieces.
image
I like the set as it looks cool, but it’s very playable. Edward liked the set too.

Not much extra pieces in this set but you get bricks! Supposed to be for loading and dumping. But creating other parts is also cool. *The policeman is not part of the set.

I like this part a lot, the water is actually similar to the fire in the other set. Even Edward remembered it, upon seeing the water he started looking for the fire.

8 Cuts

Because it’s compensation day, we have decided to try this restaurant. The place is located in Serendra and the walk going there was super worth it.
The ambiance is pretty casual, just right for a burger place…

I had a few choices to begin with but I chose Piggy in the end. Probably, the most sinful meal I ever had in my life and it was so worth it. You can make your own burger too.

We tried the onion rings as well as it was raving with reviews in food blogs and yup… They were right! It was super good. For 65 Php. This is really worth it. It has a barbecue flavor in it. It was crunchy and super flavorful. Addicting even… Haha. And no, it’s not the camera angle making the rings big. It was really big!!!

Overall, my team and I enjoyed the meal. The meat is juicy and so flavorful. The only problem is how to eat it without being messy. Setting aside poshness, it’s probably the best burger I have ever tasted.

Llama Llama Misses Mama

2015/01/img_3360.jpg
This book is part of the Llama Llama Red Pajama series. This is the first book of the series that we've read and I liked it. The story is about Llama Llama going to school for the first time and he misses his mama. When I told Edward the story, he said it's papa. Yeah, that's for his case. I told him it's mama since The Llama has a pink bag...in the end he agreed.
Right after finishing the story, he asked me to read it again. The book is enjoyable and the rhyming is cool.
Llama
What I like about the story is it's realistic. It covers what a child might feel on the first day of school. I recommend this book as a guide to show kids what would happen at school for them to enjoy their first day.
