Coloring & Tracing Workbook

image
As per Edward’s teacher suggestion to improve his coloring and writing… I made him a workbook. Half bond paper with basic shapes… For coloring and simple lines for tracing.

I used the brass fasteners! Yeay! New use for that.
Here’s Edward working on his workbook. I noticed that he colors like me. Lots of colors in one picture. My mom says when I was in Nursery I asked Teacher what color to use for eggplant. She said any. In the end, I have a multi-colored eggplant.

After this activity, when he saw his concrete mixer coloring sheet, he colored more eagerly. I’m super happy.

PS. Yup! That’s his feet, he likes to include his foot or feet whenever I like to document things.

Moving Up: Cambridge Binondo

As Edward commences his Toddler Class, I can’t help being emotional. As if it’s me who is graduating to Nursery.
Enrolling Edward in Cambridge Binondo is probably one of the best decisions we have made for Edward. It’s not just a school, it’s like a family. And from July 2014 to March 2015, Edward improved a lot. He started to be more talkative and more independent. I am super proud of him.
It’s as if it was destined, during trial class last June. When Edward held Teacher Kim’s hand, I almost cried. It’s not easy for him to open up but he did instantly with Teacher Kim. I am super happy that he’s Edward’s first teacher. We saw how she cares for Edward and we would forever be thankful.
All the teachers and staffs are super nice. They took good care of Edward.
As the school returns Edward’s stuff. I cried… (Such a Crybaby) Edward brushed by himself again and again.

When I opened the yearbook, the first page I saw was Edward’s page.

After seeing Edward’s bag marker and Seat Marker, I was bawling.

I can’t believe it’s almost a year now. Good thing we’re going back for Summer before going to Big School.
Cambridge Binondo would always be a part of us.

Edward is OC

At 2+ years, I can’t help but be amazed how a baby develops OCD. At this early stage I can confirm he is super OC.
1. Whenever his hands gets dirty, he wants to have it clean asap.
2. In doing art, his paper needs to be aligned with the table.
3. He likes sorting things according to their color.
4. He likes to follow a certain pattern like going to Yap house, he would go to the PS room, downstairs and his aunt’s bedroom to play the rest of the time.
5. He doesn’t like to eat food in variety. One at a time. Example… Misua… When he switch to eat chicken, he won’t go back to eat Misua again. Very much like PQ.
6. When you tell a story, you should stick to the details, if you change it, he would protest
7. Whenever his pillowcase is distorted, he gets fuzzy.
8. In playing Lego, he has a specific pattern of how things should be made. Same goes with blocks. If you deviate, we would redo it.
9. Even in Play-Dohs, the first thing he do would stick and everytime he plays it, it’s always the same.
I found it fascinating how he likes things in order. Being chaotic myself, I can’t relate to his stress when things are not done properly.
